How difficult to replace PNP switch? 850 1994

Do any of you have any experience with the PNP switch on the transmission? A local shop wants about $300. to do the job. The part runs $78. My Haynes manual does not cover it and I'm not sure how difficult it is to do myself. I retrieved a 3-2-2 fault code. Thank you for your help.

1994 855T, K&N, Tweaked waste gate actuator, new condenser, new radiator, fresh air in new tires, washed and waxed, questionable tranny.
