The nut has a lock on it so that it won't come off. You gotta knock that before you're going to get it to come off... As far as it turning, I wouldn't worry about that.. Remember how they say "put your parking brake when you're on a hill?" Well, a 4' extension can provide well over 500 ft-lbs of torque which will turn the engine/transmission...
