1995 850 rear tail light - replace with 1993 unit? 850 1995

Hello,

My daughter has a 1995 850 sedan (don't remember if it's GL or GLT?) and she lives in the city, where someone hit her driver side rear light and broke the clear lens part of it. The bulb still works, but the thin plastic cover for that back-up light is now gone. In Massachusetts, the car won't pass inspection with a broken lens. I called the junkyard and the fellow said he had a 1993 850 sedan and could sell me the whole unit - way more than we need, but apparently it's the only solution. How would I know if it fits? I don't have the car with me and will only see it on Thanksgiving.
Thanks for any advice. If there's a website that sells used parts, I'd love to know about it! Thanks!
