its possible, however before you pick one up, find it and test to make sure its the sensor not the wiring.

Here's temperature (celsius):resistance (ohms) you should see at the sensor.

0:1407
10:912
20:607
25:500
30:413

Then check the connector. (you're the sensor, so the way it plugs into you pin 1 is on right, pin 2 is on left..) Pin 1 vs ground should have 5V with ignition on and sensor disconnected.
