testing 850 maf sensor 850

Ignition on (but engine not) .1-.2 V.. Idling should be about .9V. Should go up as speed goes up...

To check, first make sure the intake air hoses are not cracked.. Then engine off/key in ignition check pin 3 vs the ground. It should be battery voltage. If not theres your problem. Pin three is the 2nd from the left when looking at the pins (ie, you're the MAF and the wires are going into you.. 2nd from left). If OK then turn the car off, and wait 5 minutes, then check pin 4 (far left same viewpoint) for resistance. It should have 9-11K Ohms, if other report back. If OK ignition on (engine off, MAF connected) again, and check voltage between pins 2 and 4. Should be .1-.2V if OK, start car, check at idle should be ~.9V.. If it all passes then wiring and MAF are good.
