Not a problem. Normal situations, no need to ever use the pedal, but this is not normal.

What? You have a 1994 and have never checked the codes? You have an A and B box under the hood, so check the A-2 and A-6 ports first. "clear all of the codes after you have written them all down. Only the 'problem' codes will remain.

During your spare time, check the codes in all of the other ports. Only one port, B-2, will not clear a 1-2-2. That is for the cruise control, so no big deal.

I used to check for codes at every oil change, clearing junk as I go.
