road noise on s60 vs 850 S60 2007

I am finding the road noise coming from my S60 2.5T to be louder than on my volvo 850 turbo wagon. This was unexpected. Initially i thought it was tires but i just got them replaced.

My 850 has been on Kumho ASX, SPT, LX and is very quiet

My s60 is on michelin primacy mxv4 and is loud. These tires are suppose to be quiet so i have now blaming it on underbody design and insulation material.

Hard to imagine old car being quiter than new car. I can hear all the suqeeks and creeks on the inside of my 850 it is so quiet.
