Swapping Turbo Engine into Manual Transmission 850 (non turbo) 850 1995

I've got a 95 850 turbo wagon with automatic transmission - 160k and in really good shape

I've also got a 94 850 non-turbo wagon with manual transmission - 200k and plenty of issues, but transmission feels great.

I really miss the manual transmission, and darn it like the turbo too. I've read elsewhere the step by step summaries people have done on swapping transmissions. It occurred to me that it might be easier to swap the engines . . . anyone have any insights here? What is a typical life span for a 94 manual transmission?
