rear window won't go up S70 1998

lowered right rear window in car, wouldn't go back up...motor okay, glass loose in mounting, by wiggling/straightening out glass, then raise a little, repeat, got window to close..thank goodness, quite cold here in central NY right now..so did glass jump out of window open/close mechanism, or did some clip/retainer expire? how hard to pull interior panel off w/o damaging it? would like to again be able to use window....while I am in there, would also like to address issue of power lock that will lock with button push, but not unlock...seem to recall reading on forum about some dreaded piece of red plastic that is the source of this problem...available alone, or part of an assembly?
