Lower Thermostat Housing Removal 850

Hi all,

The lower thermostat housing broke on the front edge while removing a stubborn torx screw in order to replace the thermostat.

I dont understand why it was so hard this time to remove the 2 torx screws because I used to replace the thermostat 2-3 years ago and it has been an easy job.

There's 3 torx screws holding the lower thermostat housing to the block,
do I have to remove the power steering pump to replace it?
