Man, I don't know. I'm pretty new to traction control, but I was just driving an S80 T6 today in the wet, and I could smoke the front tires for quite some time with even mild throttle application...and all with the traction control ON of course. The little icon on the dash would come on, apparently alerting me to the fact that I was standing still as I was melting rubber.
