yes, this happened to me too two days ago, and my car stopped shifting right as well. i took it to the dealer, they checked the codes and said my range sensor (aka PNP switch) had gone bad and needed to be replaced to prevent damaging the transmission. they gladly did so for $450. was it a fleecing? some questions are better left unasked...
