ignition switch problem V70-XC70 2000

If it is because the key is getting hard to turn, you should first try lubing the lock cylinder.

If the key is easy to turn but the starter doesn't engage, then you could replace the ignition switch. Remove the plastic cover surrounding the steering column, a couple of torx screws, and you will see the ignition switch on the left side of the column.
