Yet another ABS Q S70 98

Sorry for adding to the noise, but I haven't found a satisfactory answer in the related posts, so here my question goes:

Last winter I was driving out of my neighborhood in DC area after a blizzard, streets half-plowed, when I decided to check the ABS system. I stomped on the brake, heard the ABS click-click-click; the car came to a full stop; then the ABS light came on and the system stopped working. I kept driving while periodically touching the brake pedal - no ABS; the light still on. I was ready to take the car to a Volvo dealer located nearby, when the fault cleared itself after a complete stop at one of several stop signs I have to pass through on my way out.

The fault had never re-occured, neither on the snow during the cold time nor aftwerwards.

The car was serviced by the dealer twice since that episode (oil change and some minor things), and the brakes hadn't been reported as problematic.

The question is: should I or should I not worry about it? Was it just a one-time fluke I should forget about or was it an indication of a problem that is likely to reoccur?

I have 47,600 mi on the clock on my '98 GLT; end of warranty term is in sight, so it is ipmortant to me to know all the details.

Any advice is appreciated.

Many thanks in advance,

Vadim.
