Won't start unless I play with shifter 850 95

I was hoping someone could help me out with a problem I started having today.

I go to start the car and it won't crank. If I put the shifter in neutral it will! (sometimes) But takes some wiggling of the shifter to park and neutral for 2-3 minutes to work.

I replaced the shift lock mech. 4 months ago. This isn't my problem is it?

I'm not getting any fault codes. Could this be the famous PNP switch I've been reading so much about?
