Diagnostic Codes - Where is the box? V70-XC70 1999

The two diagnostic boxes were last seen on the 1995 cars, since then there is only the OBD port and a scanner is required. Unfortunately, you have 2 problems that the generic scanner will probably not read correctly.

The cooling light usually comes on then the sensor at the bottom of the overflow bottle is kaput or the bottle is empty. The sensor can easily be replaced.

The ABS module can be repaired, but try to get the error codes first. I go to an autoparts store that loans the code reader for parking lot use. Plug it in, get the codes, attempt to erase the codes, and give the reader back. Check your ABS codes on this site: http://home.earthlink.net/~vicrocha/
