Diagnostic Codes - Where is the box? V70-XC70 1999

If you plan on keeping one of these OBD II cars for any length of time, a cheap generic scanner, while not perfect for all Volvo codes, pays for itself after 6 months. Amazon.com sells them for pretty darn cheap, and the ability to check and erase codes using the scanner that I keep in my glove box has been absolutely wonderful. I think that for the prices, they pay for themselves after just a few saved trips to Autozone.
