I had this issue with a SAAB 9000 and last summer with my Mercedes. After using the power bleeder I still had no pedal, so (per the SAAB manual) I slowly pushed down the clutch pedal until some resistance was felt, then slowly let it back up. Repeated doing this for about three minutes and then the pedal was normmal.
