We just bought an S80 - what a great car. Like you I was tempted to have the dealer program the auto-lock. After reading another response to your question, I think the risk of being locked out is significant. You might ask the dealer if a threshold of something like 30mph is possible.

One of the other programmable features involves the time interior lights stay on before shutting off. The factory preset is 10 minutes but can be changed.
