Sapping noise when the top is raised or lower C70 2002

My C70 top makes a noticeable but slight "snap" sound when i raise or lower the top. The top works fine, but I'm getting ready to sell it and would like an idea as to what I'm dealing with here. The snap occurs at about the mid point of raising or lowering. I'm thinking an adjustment.
