Re: Snow Chains S40-V40 2001

8,900 miles! Holy SH*T! What are you trying to do, wear it out??

I don't know how much Chicago has gotten in the past week or so, but as for me I've pretty much given up on trying to keep all the snow cleared away until... spring? Weatherman says another 3-5" again tonight. Someone ought to do something with him.

About the tire chains, just because they might be illegal doesn't mean they don't get used! ;-) I've seen quite a few cars over the years in Northern WI (like north of Rhinelander) using them in very snowy conditions. If the cops don't get their asses out of their cars then pretty much anything is legal... right? I don't have any idea as to what the law is regarding tire cables. Studs are still illegal although I've done some ice racing over the years with studded tires. When we've needed gas we've always just driven to the gas station.
