Rattle in dash and First Impression S70 2000

Purchased a 2000S70GLTSE about two months ago. Love the car: it's my first

Volvo. Seats are without a doubt the most comfortable I've been in, the sound system is terrific, engine shifts smoothly and most important it's the first car I've owned that I feel safe driving. The only issue I have is that there is an annoying rattle(ALMOST METTALIC LIKE) coming from the front dash. One time it comes from the passenger side the next from the driver's

side and then best of all both sides. It seems to occur as the weather

gets colder(I live in New England) and when I go over bumps on secondary

roads(30-40 mph) or manhole covers etc. Brought it to the dealer and of course the rattle wasn't alive and kicking that particular day. Wouldn't

trade the car(like it too much) but nonetheless it is pretty annoying and in particular after spending over $30,000. Has anyone any idea what this could be? It seems when the temperature gets above 40-45 it totaly goes away. That's why I didn't discover the problem until now.

Thanks Mike
