SC-810 vs. SC-811, 816... 850 1994

I currently have a SC-810 stereo in my 850. I have upgraded all of my speakers to Polk audio and have Volvo CD changer. I am having some issues with static noise and popping sounds when turning the volume control knob (Which was there before I replaced the speakers BTW.)Oh yeah and there is no stinking balance control knob. Anyhow, I was wondering what the differences are between the SC-810, 811, and 816 head units. I would like to have some more power and cleaner sound. At the moment I do not want to replace the stereo with anything other than Volvo for aesthetic reasons. Anybody have any suggestions? How about prices? I have heard about re-built units for $163.00. What model is that? Thanks

Prospero
