I am buying the Porsche for a number of reasons and track performance isn't very high on the list.

First off I think the new Vette is just plain ugly as compared to the Boxster - just ask my wife. Secondly if I wanted to get the maximum bang for the buck I would get a S2000 but see the first point above. Or a PT Cruiser and add a turbo but that is the second ugliest car being made today. The ugliest being the Pontiac Aztec.
