Better battery 850 1996

I was up in the mountains skiing the last two days. The morning after

having my car outside all night the engine had a hard time starting (it was around 10 degrees F.) I'm considering getting a new battery with more cold cranking amps. The last time I had my oil checked at the dealer I had him check the battery and he told me it was fine. Holding a certain charge or whatever.Anyway, is a Volvo battery required or recommended, or will any battery do as long as it fits under the hood? I just wouldn't be too thrilled if the next time I go up skiing and end up having a dead battery.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Matt
