You are quite right to be skeptible about your mechanic's ability. Replacing injector seals is easy, the hard part is not to muscle them into place. If the leak moved to another injector... but you do not know if he replaced the injectors in the same order as when they came out.

There aren't too many grave yards with Volvos in your area, a great source of spare parts. If this is a turbo, Ford Mustang injectors are the same part.

Could you start the engine and take a close look at the fuel rail and see where the leak actually is?

I forgot, is this a 1995 or 1996?
