Gen'l ?'s about S80 S80

We have an 05 S80 with the 2.5T engine. Our local independent Volvo specialty mechanic encouraged us to go for 04 or later with the 2.5T 5 cyl vs the T6 six cylinder, especially if the T6 is twin turbo.

We've had it about 2-1/2 years so far. Other than burned out light bulbs occasionally, no big problems. It's just taken me a while to figure out all the bells and whistles on a car that's smarter than I am.

I believe we may have a slight internal turbo oil leak, as I can smell kind of a hot oil smell when we pull it into the garage, but no external leaking. I've mentioned it to the mechanic and he more or less suggested to not lose sleep over it unless it gets somewhat worse.

It runs and drives great - Knowing what I know, I'd buy it again.

Careful on the price. Check the market in your area. Look at Auto trader and assume that anything advertised there will likely sell for $500-750 less than advertised. Price looks pretty much like our area (Atlanta) for that kind of mileage.
