Thanks for all the info.

Follow-up inspection of the car has exposed intermittant "TRACS" and "ABS" lights illumination. My research has dug up info on Victor's ABS module solder connection repair, which I'm hoping is all it needs. Anyone have additional experience with this to share?

Also, the "SERVICE" light is on. How do I reset that? On our S80 it's simply a sequence of ignition switch and odometer reset movements, but I've read where the 98 V70 requires a scan tool. Is that true? (I've got an Actron 9175.)
