removing duct from intercooler V70-XC70 2004

V70 2.5T. This car is such a pain to work on, I changed the oil on my 245 just to unwind.

The duct between the intercooler and the throttle body is stuck. The end that attaches to the intercooler will not come off. The clamp is completely loosened, I can wiggle it, but it will not come off. I'm a little reluctant to get too carried away since I don't know how stout the intercooler is.

Is there some kind of clip or clamp that I'm not seeing / feeling ?

The power went out around 4pm and just came back on (7:30pm). I was going to heat the end of the duct with a hair drier to see if that would help. Either that or the Sawzall...

Advice ?

Thanks

Greg
