Cleaning the electrical part of the throttle body V70-XC70 2004

The hair drier softened the duct from the intercooler enough that it came off easily. It took a tap on one of the TB mounting bosses to break that gasket loose. Now I have this thing apart and the gears look good, the motor should work since it got the car in the garage, there was not a huge amount of crud around the throttle plate. The return spring in the unit seems overly stiff (IMHO), much stiffer than a typical throttle return spring.

The gear that is attached to the throttle plate shaft has 4 contacts attached to it. The semicircular circuit board in the cover has 4 tracks on it. The tracks show a little wear and the contacts on the gear are a little dirty. At the end of each track is a tiny pile of crud.

what is the best way to clean the contacts and the circuit board ? Will spray electrical cleaner damage the board ?

Thanks as always

Greg
