Re: Rattle in dash and First Impression S70 1998

Mike,

Did the same thing on my '98. You can get self-adhesive weatherstripping at any good auto parts store. Line the entire contact surface of the support (horizontal & vertical).

Also, I adjusted the top of the dash. There are eleven (11) torx screws:

- 1 behind each side defogger vent

- 2 behind center vent

- 1 under each speaker grille

- 2 behind driver side vent

- 1 behind passenger side vent

- 2 above glove box door

The vents and speaker grilles pull out. But, be careful and work slowly or you may mar the surface of the vent and/or dash.

Make sure that both ends are aligned, seams are even and all screws are torqued properly.

We've had -15 to -25 degree cold in Michigan, and the car is squeak and rattle free.

Enjoy.

Bryan
