Facelift - grill V70-XC70

The looks are great! The beam pattern has a nice flat cutoff, meaning the low beams are better than OEM (1998). The high beams are none existant.

The headlights are made in some far eastern country and are very cheaply made. The brass anchors for the 10mm screws are imbedded in very thin plastic, which will not hold more than 6Nm of torque (finger tight) without breaking loose.

The lense is plastic and can scratch and pit. The side marker lamps fit OK, but the wiring is a pain to install.

The C70 lights, 2001-2004 have a clear glass lense with a very good cutoff. There is no rush to get them unless your lenses are cracked or broken, so keep looking for used ones. All of the ones I saw online looked like the old style 1998 lenses.

Contact Tasca Volvo in RI for their price. Usually very good OEM prices.
