04 S60 2.4L w/115k--good buy? S60 2004

Hi Brickboard--
I'm looking for a 'new' car, and recently came across a 2004 S60 2.4L auto with 115k miles on it, in what looks to be nicely kept condition. Guy is asking $5500. So here's my question--is this a car that is worth investing in at this kind of mileage?

I've had about 10+ volvos in my life, as my dad was a 240/740 'collector', all with at least 125k on them, and all went to at least 200k, and were all great cars to drive/work on. But, I also detailed at a Volvo dealership in high school, and heard about the super-low-mileage transmission failures in the S80s (99/00s) as they happened. My dad is *firmly* convinced that all post-740 volvos are an expensive source of aggravation, but I can't quite believe it, and haven't found anything out there at this price range I would want to drive.

So, besides the poor turning radius (which I can live with, having parked ambulances w/no visibility), is there *really* anything that makes this car a repetitive problem, or that will prevent it from going to 175-200k if properly treated? I do kind of want an R, but don't think I'll find one at this price...

Thanks in advance!
