E.C.U. upgrades: Bad for the engine? 850 97

Hi everyone,

I just got a 97 850 T-5 and I am in the market for chip tuning.

I have talked to a few people and I am getting different feedback.

I want to get a ipd chip for the car bit some people tell me that it makes

the engine work too hard and it will wear out your turbo a lot faster

as the pressures are much greater than the engine was designed for.

This makes sense to me but on the other side of the coin other people are telling me that it brings it back to the original european specs. that it was set at.

Please help!!!

Also is ipd the best way to go if I decide to tune it?

Thanks,

Terrance
