Re: wont start 400 1991

Yup.

1-1-3 and no start situation is mentioned in my list as 'fault in injector wiring' and as resolution: 'measure wiring and injectors'

> new head and replacing them with the old ones perhaps cure problem?

Probably.. If not then there may indeed be a bad/broken wire or connector to one or more injectors. They are wired in parallel (no worries which wire goes on which injector.. Doesn't matter), so a break early in the wiring harness could cause all of them to stop working (or stay open if they are short-circuited)

I guess the best thing to do first is install the old injectors in the head, so you're basically running (hopefully) with a new head, but with 'known good' parts. You may need to replace the rubber O-rings around the tips of the injectors. Also grease them lightly when you install them (but don't get grease on the injector tip itself!)

Drop a line to let us here know what happened..

Bye, Arno.
