check engine light after cleaning throttle body 850 1994

OK...I just cleaned the throttle body and flame trap on our 94 non turbo 850 (automatic). It needed it.

Anyhow, after I get it put back together the "check engine" light comes on and stays on (even tried shutting car off and restarting). I've looked for the obvious wrong rehooking of stuff (doesn't look real possible), looked for loose connections, could not find any.

Could the light have come on when things were unhooked and just doesn't know that they've been put back together??

Advice--Recommendations??

Thanks

Tom Marlowe
