If you mean roof rails that run from front to back and are permanent, the install requires the remvoal of the trim that is part of the rain rail. A one section piece on your car that will be needed to be cut into sections to allow the rails to be bolted into place.

The removable racks, from 1993-2000, are held on with holes in the B and C pillars.
