Re: check engine light after cleaning throttle body 850 1994

Agreed with Tony that you should read the code and then clear it.

I didn't have any problem after cleaning the throttle body. However, I had an engine light on a couple of times about 5K miles after the first time I replaced the flame trap (after I took ownership at 158K miles). The code was something like "EGR flow fault." After the second oil change and another flame trap replacement about 10K miles ago, the engine code has not come back since.

So, I guess it may be the flame trap housing didn't completely sealed the first time. The flame trap was half clogged when I replaced it the first time.

If the car is running good, don't be too concern. Let us know what the code says. Good luck and Happy New Year!
