Engine Oil loss??? ABS grind??? S70 2000

I've been losing up to 2 quarts a month in engine oil and with no visible leaks. I now have 38,000 miles on my S70! Is this normal, the dealer seems to think so. Has anyone had this problem and is there any fix? Also my ABS makes a nasty grinding noise when I slam on the brakes is this normal? Thanks for the advice
