What is the switch for? 850

I was at the junkyard this morning and saw a 96 850 that had a utility switch that was labeled INFO and had a little reset button and a dial on it. My 850 didn't come with such. Wondering what it is for, and can I adapt my vehicle to make use of it? I can supply a photo if needed.
