Does it seem to run on 3 cylinders?
You did re-connect the vacuum line from the intake manifold to the pressure regulator I hope? (just checking..)

Ouch.. You really should put the plug connections to the distributor in the right order or the cat gets a whole load of raw fuel.. Very bad for the cat..
Any new codes set after letting it run for a little while?
Let the engine run and pull-and-reconnect connectors from injectors one at a time. Is there one which has no impact on the idle speed?
Described in Haynes chaper 4 section 24 BTW..
If there is one then check the connector itself. Connect wire to different injector and try again. If problem follows wire then connector/wiring problem, otherwise you may have a bad/stuck injector.

I can imagine that if it ran with the plug wires incorrectly.. It was burning the raw fuel..
You can check for a leaking injector by pulling the fuel rail with injectors and wires attached. Cover engine, switch on ignition and let fuel pump build up fuel pressure (should run for a few seconds). Any dripping injector?
Bye, Arno.
