Passenger seat cushion not tilting 850 1995

The manual adjustment lever will only pivot the front of the cushion up and down. I cannot get the rear of the cushion to move up and down.

Pulling the lever back does not have the same degree of movement as pushing it forward. It just doesn't feel "right".

I'd like to remove the seat and be able to fix it on a bench but am a bit concerned with disconnecting and removing it because of the air bag. This shouldn't be a big deal, right?

Is there a common fix?
