The only real big difference besides the insert is the plastic canister that holds everything in place takes a special wrench to get it off without destroying it. The wrench can be bought via Volvo parts department or IPD makes a nice one, more than half the techs in the shop are using the IPD wrench because the Volvo wrench has blue paint on it and it is a very snug fit on and off. The drain plug is 17mm and torqued to 26 lb.Ft., make sure when you get the filter you get the aluminium crush washer.
