Re: T5 Version of V70 X/C ????

I agree with you as far as the looks but we are in the minority. When the 1998 V70 AWd came out, not too many were sold and the majority were sold because of the "newness" of the Volvo AWD wagon. As soon as the XC came out, the XC outsold the V70 AWD 4 times over. As a result, and with V70 AWD sales SAGGING big time in MY1999, the AWD line was discontinued and the XC took over. Americans love the "SUVish" look. In Europe, more V70 AWDs were sold than XCs. But again, in Europe for every 10 x40s sold, 8 of them are Vs whereas here in the US it is exactly the opposite!
