Re: Replacement R? V70-XC70 1998

Keep the 'R' for now.

On the TT forum which I frequent (I have an Audi TT as well), someone posted that his TT was 'spanked by an 850R.' He ate some humble pie, but the point is that the 'R' line really is a good line.

I'm still wavering about switching to an MDX from my 2000 V70R. I'm in the middle of a 2000-mile vacation. I just love this car!

If I keep my 'R' I want to get a sport exhaust and a chip. Does anyone know of a company that produces a chip for the 2000 V70R? This is a different engine set up as far as I know from other years. All the feeble attempts of searching for a chip has resulted in no useful information.

I have a feeling an exhaust and chip upgrade should get me into the 300hp range. I'm going to do an exhaust in the TT in a month or so. That will put it up around 240hp. The chip there will come later but that should get me close to 270hp.

I just love the acceleration in both vehicles. Like the S80 vs. V70R comparison, the TT and V70R are both good for different reasons.

Thanks...
