If your brakes are flushed with dot 4+ brake fluid every 48,000km or once a year in highly humid areas or when the moisture content gets to 2%, on a regular basis, then there is no contaminated fluid in the calipers to be pushed any where. The clamping of the hoses and bleeding at the nipples is not a Volvo repair method for replacing the brakes. If contaminated brake fluid did damage your hydraulic unit its from not being flushed regularly, not from changing your brake pads.
