Alternator removal V70-XC70 1999

You are right...sorry...you do have to move the power steering pump out of the way...also not hard. You don't need to disconnect it, just remove the 3 bolts that are reached by turning the pulley after the belt is removed and lining up the hole in the face of the pulley with the bolt head...I think 12mm. There are 4 bolts but the one on the top right does not need to be removed. Just remove the bolts and set it up on top of the engine while you remove the alt. Have fun and don't let the appearance of the 5cyl scare you. I know how you feel after owning several 240's and 740's and a 760, these new cars really put me off until I decided to just jump in. In some ways, they are easier...just need to know some of the "tricks"
