Boom Box S70 1999

I passed my sweet little 99 S70 onto my 16 son a few months ago and he came home from a friends house last weekend with a trunk full of sub's- It must be wired ok because you can hear him coming 1/2 mile away, but I'm concerned about the electrical side.

What do I need to know about making sure it is done correctly? If need be, I am going to have it checked over a someone a shop that does this sort of thing.

My wife told him it was ok and me that he will out grow it-Hope he outgrows it before he looses his hearing
