1998 V70 door lock with micro switch wanted V70-XC70

Having found out my central locking system seems to have an intermitent problem with its micro switch, its drains the battery and volvo want to change the locks as the switch comes part of the unit. Not at £540 i dont so where can i look or can i bypass the system so i just use the key to open the door. Having to keep pulling fuse number 6 and replacing it is a real pain. No fun being ripped off.
