Hello, Yes, you read it correctly. The top of the air cleaner is held in place by 3 latching clips. The hold down clip itself is strong but there's a link beneath it. When you open the air cleaner it's the part the latching clips hang from. I opened my air cleaner on a day which was too cold, apparently. A Volvo dealer told me today that they aren't available. I was wondering if anybody out there knows otherwise. My car is a 2002, but I'm sure the coverage is broad. a search found nothing. Kira
